We create a safe environment where people do not feel judged or intimidated. For small and large groups, with different power dynamics, we ensure everyone’s voice is heard.

Our facilitators create space for participants to “bring forth” their ideas: in this way, trainees create their own data and develop an understanding and level of commitment deeper than if they had been given the data by someone else.

We adapt our communication style to allow participants of any ethnicity to feel comfortable.

This may be by appearing formal and professional with expertise and credibility or appearing more informal, warm and engaging. It asks for a balance of when to talk and when to listen. In facilitation, to validate the opinions of others is more important than to add your own.

“Empathy with authority” is the principle guiding us in connecting with our participants, whilst managing the processes so that any limits such as time are managed well and all voices are heard.
