Nick
I have been practising art for over forty years now. My desire has always been the romanticisation of space.
I began working on outdoor projects using conventional processes such as woodcarving and metal working.
Over the years, like a rolling stone gathering moss – therefore unconventionally - I acquired new skills – particularly digital ones. These involve music (often field recordings) and video.
My work now predominantly consists of installations. I combine my analogue sculptural skills with my digital knowledge to create responses to space and situation.
Ultimately it all comes down to a ceaseless desire to create the space I imagine I would want to exist in.
