The Course
Each module involves approximately 5 to 8 hours of self-paced online learning, accessible via smartphone or computer. The course link and workbook are sent by email on registration.
The course begins with an introductory online meeting where you will meet your tutor and fellow participants and receive an overview of the programme.
Module 1. The Power of Self-Discovery: (Self-study)
Through a series of targeted exercises, you will identify your capabilities, transferable skills, values and career goals. The result is a clearer, sharper sense of who you are professionally and how to present your experience to potential employers in a way that is focused and well-considered.
Module 2. Crafting your Winning Story: (Self-study & tutor feedback on CV and application letter)
This module takes you through the process of building a strong CV and writing an application letter tailored to your chosen sector. You will receive personalised written feedback to help you frame your experience in language that resonates with employers across a range of industries.
Module 3. Mastering the Interview: (Self-study and interview simulation with tutor feedback)
The third module prepares you for interview with practical strategies for confident self-presentation. You will practise responding to common questions and receive clear, constructive feedback in a supportive group setting. Particular attention is given to presenting your experience persuasively across different organisational contexts.

FIND that Job! Global Coordinator
Michael Worsnip brings a wealth of experience to his role as course tutor, shaped by a career that has taken him across a wide range of professional contexts in South Africa and beyond. Educated at Rhodes University, the University of Cambridge and Manchester University, Michael has held senior roles including programme management at the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site and leading the social cohesion programme for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in the Western Cape. He has also served as Chief Director at the Western Cape Regional Land Claims Commission, worked in HIV/AIDS, directed the Cape Town Carnival and authored several published works.
This breadth of experience, across sectors and organisations that each required fresh thinking and the ability to connect with diverse communities, gives Michael a grounded and empathetic perspective on career change, professional identity and what it takes to move successfully between roles. He knows from experience that careers are rarely straightforward, and he draws on that knowledge to help others find their footing with confidence and clarity.
