Paul has been an independent training consultant for twenty years. Previously he was a senior lecturer in continuing education. He directed a unit that provided communications skills training in the workplace. The unit was also, during the 1980’s, among the first providers in the UK to design and deliver equal opportunities training. Paul designed and delivered programmes across all sectors of employment. He later worked in the management unit of Barking College which offered formal management qualifications as well as specialist tailor made courses for employers. His clients include Ford Motor Company, Rhone Poulenc Rorer, Lotus Cars, Medical Protection Society, LEGO, British Red Cross Society as well as numerous central and local government departments and voluntary sector agencies.Since 2003 he has developed and delivered training and coaching for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to support British nationals in distress. He has provided crisis leadership training and coaching for British Heads of Mission as well as an extensive range of training for consular staff.
Paul has worked in 37 different countries. He also lived and worked in Athens and Paris for five years.
He holds a MSc ( Distinction) from Leicester University where his dissertation was on sexual harassment in the workplace. He also has a BA (Hons) in French and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education – both from the University of Wales.
He is a qualified user of EQ-I ( BarOn Emotional Quotient Inventory ) and a Level One user of Personal Strengths ‘Strengths Deployment Inventory’.
