Madei grew up in Zimbabwe and now lives in Botswana where he has lived for 18 years to date.  He has more than thirty years experience of organisational and human resource development facilitation and training.  In the past, Madei worked for Botswana National Productivity as a Principal Consultant. Madei also worked as Group Training and Development Manager for Tanganda Tea Company, as well as in training facilitation for Anglo American Corporation.He has written and published several papers including a book chapter on African leadership in the University of South Africa (UNISA) published book entitled the Horizon and beyond published in 2014. He has also contributed a chapter into a book being published by the University of Aalborg in Denmark. Madei has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree, postgraduate diploma in management, post graduate certificate in management obtained from the University of Buckinghamshire in the UK. He also has as a BSc in Politics and Administration honours degree obtained from the University of Zimbabwe and is currently working on a PhD in Strategic Leadership In Africa with the Cape Peninsula University in South Africa.

Madei was trained in coaching and is currently an International Labour Organisation (ILO) PROWESS coach and trainer with the ILO and one of the coaches of ILO PROWESS coaches based in Botswana.  He was trained by The Development Alchemists Ltd on behalf of the ILO and is engaged in a coaching project right now in Botswana facilitated by the ILO.
