Alana has an MSc in Psychology, and is specialising as an Occupational Psychologist at Coventry University. Alana is about to start working with the Fire Service, developing a measure which will assess individual resilience in the workplace. Previous work with the fire service looked at the impact of shift-work patterns on work and family conflict. Alana is also interested in leadership styles and company culture. She has worked with the Development-Alchemists team, as a trainer in individual motivation, teamwork and emotional intelligence. Alana is also a freelance journalist, she has worked in several London-based publishing houses, as an editor and managing editor, on news-stand and trade magazines focussing on technology and business. She has over 15 years experience in this field, dealing with all aspects of business and, communicating with staff, from product managers to CEO’s and FD’s. Such companies Alana has worked with, nclude Microsoft, Hewlett Packard and Dell. She also worked for Channel 4 lifestyle, The Guardian’s Top Employer’s Directory and the British Midwifery Journal.
